A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The survey is done using a representative sample of staff and faculty on campus. If you received the email, titled The Great Colleges to Work For 2024 Faculty/Staff Survey in the subject line, I encourage you to take some time and complete the survey. Recognition analysis for the Great Colleges to Work For® program is conducted by ModernThink, an organizational development firm with particular survey and “Best Place to Work” expertise.

For the fourth straight year and sixth time since 2014, Texas Tech University has been recognized as one of the best destinations in the country for employees with its ranking in the 2024 Great Colleges to Work For® program, one of the largest and most respected initiatives in the country that measures workplace factors in higher education.

Additionally, Texas Tech was awarded Honor Roll status for the third consecutive year for being cited most often across all recognition categories.

The ranking is based on results of the Great Colleges to Work For® survey of faculty and staff at 216 institutions across the U.S., including 139 four-year colleges and universities. Texas Tech is one of 75 institutions to earn the designation and one of 42 to earn Honor Roll status.
