To increase access to higher education and reduce student indebtedness, Texas Tech University offers the Red Raider Guarantee. This program ensures that tuition and mandatory fees (based on 30 credit hours per academic year) are covered for new entering freshmen and transfer students who meet the following criteria:
- Texas residency.
- A family adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours per semester during Fall and Spring only)
The Red Raider Guarantee is funded through a combination of federal, state, and institutional resources (state and institutional funding for TASFA students), which may include PELL Grants, SEOG, TEXAS Grants, Texas Public Education Grants, Texas Tech Grants, and internal or external scholarships. Please note that this program does not cover housing or hospitality costs.
