TAMU’s 2017 Campus Master Plan addresses sustainability in concert with the 2018 Sustainability Master Plan, biennial updates, and STARS reports. While much of the content related to sustainability is discussed in Chapter 5, sustainability content appears in the other chapters as well. Green tags appear on the introduction pages of each chapter (as applicable) to highlight sustainability information, strategies, and operations.

It was determined that 100% of campus building spaces have multi-attribute operation and maintenance since all have indoor air quality, energy management, and water management policies in place. Based on a percent of impact ranking, the green cleaning policy of campus building spaces, 80%, was not considered to have an impact on the overall sustainability of the spaces.
*Note: Campus buildings are cleaned by an outside contractor, not TAMU, like the IAQ, energy and water management policies.

Texas A&M uses EnergyCAP software to track and tend the EUI, consumption and cost for each building. In addition, all buildings over 5,000 GS are metered for ELE, CHW, HHW, Steam, DCW and the data is available in real-time so that trends can be analyzed.
