A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
TN Tech does not have a university "fleet". Each department is responsible for its own vehicles. These numbers represent those in the Facilities (maintenance/support) area, which represents the largest group of vehicles on campus.
We have several electric campus vehicles. Our recycling program solely uses electric carts to transport recycling. Additionally, TN Tech supported an electric cart preview day where Club Car displayed information on the benefits of electric vehicles and provided an opportunity for campus members to test drive/ review available electric vehicles.
