A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:

Tech has always supported volunteerism within the campus community but, since an F4 tornado hit the local community killing 19 people, TN Tech has identified March 3 as Tech Strong: Day of Service. On this day, and Spring Break that falls soon after, Tech has more actively supported and promoted community service and volunteering more than ever before.

Tech First Lady Kari Oldham launched Wings of Kindness as a special initiative to recognize students, faculty, staff and others across campus for choosing kindness through acts of service to others.
