A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:

Sustainability Survey:

The Office of Sustainability started the monthly Sustainability Survey in the Fall of 2017. The goal of the survey is to see students, staff, and faculty's interest in, and knowledge of, the many projects the Office of Sustainability has developed. The surveys are given every month of the semester and concern topics including Energy, Food & Dining, Green Space, Recycling, Research, Transportation and Water. At the end of the survey, students are free to list any comments or inputs regarding campus sustainability. Students may also include their contact information if they are interested in getting involved.

TN Tech Green Pledge:

The TN Tech Green Pledge was created in 2018 by the Office of Sustainability. Students can access a link to take the pledge from the webpage. The main goal of the pledge is for students, staff, and faculty to make a personal commitment to make small everyday changes which can make a positive impact on the environment. Sustainability areas that are addressed include Saving Energy, Transportation, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Protecting Resources.

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:

The Sustainability Survey is emailed to all students, faculty and staff through Tech Times, TN Tech's electronic communication system. Students, faculty, and staff that included their email because they wanted more information are then added to our email list.

The Green Pledge is offered as a link through the TN Tech webpage. The Office of Sustainability is immediately notified when students take this pledge.

A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:

Data is collected from every survey submitted and is then recorded on an excel spreadsheet. Attached below is a survey over the TN Tech BikeShare program and all of the responses recorded.

Concerning the TN Tech Green Pledge, an email is automatically sent to the TTUGreen email that confirms that a student, faculty, or staff has taken the survey.
