Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes
A brief description of the incentive program(s):
The Green Fee, which is included in tuition every semester, provides funding for projects on campus that promote sustainability and enhance students understanding of sustainability. This fee was recently increased to $10 in the Spring of 2018 by SGA. The Sustainable Campus Committee was created to oversee the disbursement of the Green Fee. This committee is comprised of students, faculty, and staff. Currently, the committee is working on a project for LEED Certification for the Lab Science Building that is in the process of being built. Proposals are sent in by students, faculty, and staff across campus and reviewed by the committee.
The Eco Rep Program, created in 2018, engages every department in all things sustainability related and works to improve the knowledge of sustainability on campus through peer-to-peer education. The main duties of the Eco Reps are to meet with the department head and at least 2 professors once a semester. In the meetings, the Eco Reps are expected to help improve the knowledge of sustainability within the department. They are to tell the professors about the Green Fee and the funding opportunities that are available through the Office of Sustainability.

A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:
Through the Green Fee Program, students, faculty, and staff can apply for funding for any sustainability-related projects, programs, or initiatives. This provides incentive for faculty to incorporate sustainability into their courses because they are able to use funding for these projects immediately upon approval.
