TN Tech earned Tree Campus USA Recognition for the first time in 2018. Tree Campus USA is a program sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation. To qualify, campuses must have a Campus Tree Advisory Committee, a Campus Tree Care Plan including dedicated annual expenditures, an Arbor Day Observance, and a Service Learning Project.
TN Tech earned Bee Campus USA Certification for the first time in 2019. Bee Campus USA is a program sponsored by the Xerces Society. To qualify, campuses must have a Bee Campus USA Committee, courses which teach about pollinators and/or IPM plans, a website which has up to date information about Bee Campus Events, a Bee Campus event at least once per year, signs on campus about Bee Campus, and a Service Learning Project.
