A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):

The Office of Research compiled a list of faculty who received awards for research in FY18 and has it available on the school website. The reported research projects were reviewed by the Office of Sustainability based on the definition of “sustainability research” outlined in G. Standards and Terms.
