The TN HPBr is a mandatory design, construction, and operations tools for all TN State Building Commission projects, including: new construction, additions, and renovation/maintenance. Complete building renovations include: Henderson Hall, T.J.Farr Bldg., Oakley Hall, Intramural Fieldhouse, Residence Halls-Evins Live & Learn, M.S.Cooper/ Pinkerton, Warf/Ellington, Jobe/ Murphy, and Tech Village Apartments.

Compliance is assured at various stages throughout the project by the owner, the designer, and the contractor by using the HPBr Checklist/Tracking Form. Design criteria of the HPBr are applicable during all phases of a project from initiation, approval, design, and construction.
