Yes

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Temple’s Main Campus hosts 6 bicycle share stations on or adjacent Temple owned property as part of Philadelphia’s city-owned bicycle-sharing program, Indego.

The program offers standard and e-bikes at multiple locations around Philadelphia, from Kensington to Point Breeze to University City. Since the program launched, Temple University has met with City of Philadelphia employees to support efforts to site stations, promote and engage community members about the program.

Temple University hosts Zip Car stations in Liacouras Garage and Cecil B. Moore lot. Temple students, faculty, staff, and alumni receive discounted rates.

Hybrid only parking is available in Montgomery Garage. Electric vehicle parking and charging stations are available at Montgomery Garage, North Broad loop, and Carlisle Garage.

Temple has a total of 9 charging stations. Five are located on Main Campus (3 Montgomery Garage, 2 North Broad Loop) and four are located at the Health Science Campus in the Carlisle Garage.

A brief description of the incentives or programs to encourage employees to live close to campus:
The University has established a program that provides financial support for full-time staff and faculty who purchase homes in the communities surrounding its Main and Health Science campuses. In partnership with the City of Philadelphia, Temple is offering financial support and access to programs aimed at putting home ownership within reach for its faculty and staff. Through a combination of these programs, full-time Temple employees may be eligible to receive up to $9,000 in funding toward the purchase of homes within selected Philadelphia zip codes.

Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
Discounted semester SEPTA passes are available to students.
Employees receive a pre-tax benefit towards money spent on public transportation via Wage Works. The university also installed a bike fix it stations on campus for easy and free access to bike repair amenities. The university also offers Flight, an Uber-style shuttle service. This program is available to the Temple community at night and is designed to encourage students to live nearby.
