Over the past 3 years, Tec de Monterrey has shared best practices and lessons learned with the universities that make up LA TRIADA, which is a group of Latin American universities made up of the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile) and the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Among the activities for exchanging experiences in sustainability are:
• In 2022, the "La Triada Conference: Lessons from the pandemic for sustainable development in Latin America" was held, with the aim of offering a space for academic and student communities to reflect and exchange opinions on the perspectives and challenges facing the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, and what we need to achieve a new, more sustainable and fair development model, where economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection mutually reinforce each other.
• In terms of training, teacher training courses have been held from 2020 to 2024 to share experiences and good practices on how to incorporate sustainability into teaching practice. These courses have been replicated in different periods with the aim of collecting information on good practices and educational methodologies focused on achieving the implementation of the SDGs. The courses are: “SDG: Education for Sustainable Development” and “CADi: SDG Enablers in Teacher Training”.
• In 2024, other more formal activities have been integrated to share experiences. In January, a webinar was held focused on sharing ideas and actions on how universities are facing the climate crisis. And, since August, the “La Triada Strategic Line for Sustainable Development” has been consolidated. This new strategic line is focused on 3 axes: 1) exchange of good practices, 2) strengthening the presence of universities in COPs on climate change, and 3) linkage with other areas of the institutions and has a target of 2030. This effort aims to be a platform for collaboration and exchange of experiences to promote sustainable development and catalyze climate action in higher education among the internal community of the three universities and society as a whole.

Paola Visconti, sustainable development and social impact director, from Tec de Monterrey, is part of the Secretatiat of the University Global Coalition, President David Garza is part of the Steering Committee, and Karina Ruiz is part of the SDG Action & Awareness Week Organizing Committee.
Paola Visconti is also the co-coordinator of SDSN Mexico and Karina Ruiz is the manager of the network, both as as Tec de Monterrey's representatives.
