Total energy consumption, performance year:
139,187.82 MMBtu

Clean and renewable electricity (report kilowatt-hours):
kWh MMBtu
Imported electricity from certified/verified clean and renewable sources (i.e., bundled green power purchases) 23,810,404 Kilowatt-hours 81,241.10 MMBtu
Electricity from on-site, clean and renewable sources (rights retained/retired) 388,954 Kilowatt-hours 1,327.11 MMBtu

A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:

At Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec), we prioritize sustainability by incorporating renewable energy sources. We achieve this through an Energy Services Agreement (ESA) with Ventika, a wind farm located in General Bravo, Nuevo León, Mexico. Ventika has 84 wind turbines with a capacity of 3 MW each, for a total installed capacity of 252 MW. This agreement ensures a portion of the electricity powering our campuses comes directly from Ventika's wind energy.

A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:

At Tec de Monterrey, we have prioritized using renewable energy within our campuses. We utilize on-site photovoltaic (PV) systems in some locations, taking advantage of current regulations for on-site renewable energy generation (<500 kW) and the excellent solar radiation conditions in most of Mexico's regions.
