The Tecnológico de Monterrey, Laguna campus is a private, non-profit university, independent and free from political and regilious affiliations.
It is located in Torreón, Coahuila. In 1975, the Laguna Campus began operations with two high school groups at the facilities of Colegio La Luz, in the Estrella neighborhood. A year later, the professional school was launched. In 1982, construction of the new Laguna Campus began in the Ampliación la Rosita neighborhood, and in 1983, the Aulas I building was constructed. In November 1999, the Santiago A. Garza de la Mora Auditorium was inaugurated and since then, the campus has been constantly undergoing modifications and today it has different flexible spaces to hold and attend sporting, cultural and training events among many others that can be carried out here.
