2.1 Student sustainability organization

Ruta Azul Student Committee (Sustainability National Student Committee) is a joint effort at Tec de Monterrey between Ruta Azul, the Sustainability and Climate Change Plan, and Leadership and Student Affairs. From each Campus (26 campus), an undergrad and a high school students are appointed to represent the student community regarding sustainability issues, and to work to articulate, promote and strengthen student efforts in sustainability and climate change on campus through the Student Bodies of the Student Federation.
 
In October 2022, the First Cohort of the Ruta Azul Student Committee, formed by 34 students, was created and launched with the objective to design and propose a national project to advance Tec’s sustainability goals. The Committee proposed to draft a national student statement for sustainability, done by and for Student Groups at Tec from all over the country, called “En Ruta: Declaration of Sustainability of Student Groups”.
 
In September 2023, the second cohort, consisting of 54 students, began their operations. En Ruta: Declaration of Sustainability of Student Groups was the cornerstone for the ongoing efforts, inspiring the decision to update the Sustainable Events Guide for students. This document is the student version of the institutional Sustainable Events Guide and serves as set of guidelines for sustainable actions in all events organized by students.
 
 
 
 
Through Ruta Azul's outreach area, there's a data base which enlists the campus, and the student organizations that are involved in sustainability and the representative or student comittee president for each of them.Since the archive enlists the students and some personal data, it wont be shared.
