11.4 Hazardous waste management and disclosure

Tec de Monterrey's Campuses nationwide complies with the Federal Waste Managment Law, (FWML) that covers the exact procedures and guideliness to temporally storage, transport and dispose hazardous waste.
In compliance with the Federal Waste Managment Law, all of our Campuses have a temporal storage area confined for Hazardous Waste. Following the criteria and requirements of the FWML the storage areas contains all the safety measures to prevent any possible incident, such as laboratory safety showers and eye washes, fire extinguishers, proper ventilation, non-flamable construction materials and safety signs and labels per type of waste. All Campuse's collection suppliers for this type of waste must be registered in the public federation portal and have a waste transportarion permit.
