A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
One particular program that Taylor started in 2011 to increase the diversity of higher education faculty and administration is the Leadership Exploration for Women (LEW) program. It is a yearlong program that will focus on leadership roles and opportunities in higher education. It is directed toward professional women who desire to learn more about leadership and grow in discerning their calling. Taylor is one of the first Christian colleges to start this type of initiative.
Taylor's Affirmative Action Policy also includes the following statement. "In order to increase the opportunities of minorities and females for promotion and transfer, the University provides mentoring for individuals who will profit by such individual help. In addition, the University encourages supervisors and managers to consider minority and female employees for every promotional opportunity prior to making every selection decision and to document their consideration. Internal support systems enhance these opportunities."
