The purpose of the office of Multicultural Development is to facilitate the academic success, spiritual development, and social well being of American Ethnic and International students. The intention of this office is to provide an environment in which students are offered support as well as advocacy relative to their unique concerns and are encouraged to engage in programs designed to affirm their ethnicity and cultural backgrounds. The office also implements educational opportunities to promote diversity awareness throughout the campus community and cultivate reciprocal relationships with community leaders in order to establish student support linkages between local communities and Taylor University.

The director of American ethinic student programs and the director of international student programs ensure that the diverse groups of students on campus be well represented and provided equity and opportunity. They are responsible for overseeing multiple student diversity organizations and facilitating programming as desired by the individual groups. Through these programs Taylor seeks to provide an engaging environment in which students are affirmed, relative to their unique concerns.
