From the university Energy & Sustainability Policy:
"University vehicles shall be turned off when not being actively used for transportation. Idle times for university vehicles, and personal vehicles on campus, are limited to two minutes. An exception to this rule is when it is necessary to idle vehicles to aid manual efforts to remove condensation or ice from vehicle windows to allow for safe driving."
