A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :

Two 50 kw wind turbines and a 10kw photovoltaic system were installed in the summer of 2011. The solar array is not yet operating and the turbines have been operating for about six months.

A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:

A ground source, open-loop geothermal heat pump system was installed with the new science building to provide almost all of the heating and cooling needs. The system is expected to save 1990 MMBtu annually when it comes online in a few months.
