TAFE Queensland Robina Campus utilises rainwater storage (200,000 litres). This water storage is used by the owners of the complex on surrounding gardens and for grey water usage i.e. toilet flushing and soft landscaping.

The Queensland Development Code (QDC) Part 4.0 Building sustainably, specifies requirements for installing rainwater tanks. Water must be collected from at least 50 percent or 100m2 (whichever is lesser) of the roof area. Tanks must be plumbed to toilets, washing machine, and at least one outdoor tap.
