Yes

Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
Syracuse University conducted a comprehensive survey of all students, faculty and staff for the purpose of developing a better understanding of the learning, living and working environment on campus. The origins of this effort can be traced to the work of the Chancellor’s Work Group on Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence, Prevention, Education and Advocacy, which, in its final report (issued Dec. 17, 2014) detailed 24 recommendations, including a call for a climate survey.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
Syracuse University has started Fast Forward Syracuse. Fast Forward Syracuse is a strategic, transformative, and collaborative initiative that will allow the University community to build on its widely recognized strengths and improve in key areas. This University-wide effort will include broad participation by faculty, staff, and students, as well as other stakeholders from across the institution. Example: The Academic Strategic Plan consists of overarching themes that identify targeted areas of commitment with the goal to create an outstanding learning experience for all Syracuse University students. Six working groups, composed of students, faculty, and staff, have been formed to focus on each of the themes. They have been charged with the task of developing strategies and a framework for conducting routine assessments that will be presented to the Academic Strategic Plan Implementation Oversight Committee (ASPIOC) for endorsement. The six working groups include: » The Student Experience: Provide all students with a world-class learning experience that prepares them for future success » Discovery: Promote creativity and discovery attuned to important challenges and emerging needs » Internationalization: Enter the Campus, Engage with the World » Commitment to Veterans & Military Connected Communities: Distinguish Syracuse as the premier university for veterans, military-connected students, and families » Innovation: Nurture an entrepreneurial culture » One University: Galvanize institution-wide excellence
