A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
There's a very set schedule for orientation and there really hasn't been an opportunity to design sustainability specific activities. However, organizers of orientation have allowed Green Advisors (GAs; 20-25 students who lead campus sustainability awareness and improvement projects) and the Office of Sustainability to come in and emphasize sustainability and environmental issues. Games on Parrish Beach, sustainability focused tours for transfer students, tour of Crum Woods (woods on campus), and other sustainability education. We have been able to engrain sustainability into orientation through these practices.
