A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:

An email was sent to all department chairs asking about faculty scholarship in sustainability. The definition of sustainability research was included as well as links to the SDGs and the keyword table. Any individual recommended by a department chair was contacted directly for more information. Their individual responses are included in the inventory. The total number of ranked (non-adjunct) faculty was provided by the Office of the Provost. This includes 5 librarians and 3 post-docs.
