A brief description of the undergraduate degree program:
The Environmental Studies (B.A.) major is an interdisciplinary major that includes required courses in sustainability, environmental science, sustainable energy, climate change, environmental ethics, environmental writing, and public policy. A new addition to the major is a required introductory course focused on sustainability: ENST-110 Sustainability and Society. The junior topics course (ENST-301 Current Topics in Environmental Studies) and senior capstone course (ENST-505 Community Project) apply the interdisciplinary content and synthesize environmental, social, and economic facets.

The Environmental Studies (B.A.) minor is an interdisciplinary minor that includes courses on sustainability, environmental science, sustainable energy, climate change, environmental ethics, environmental writing, and public policy. The minor requires 24 credits (6 courses). A required course for all minors is ENST-301 Current Topics in Environmental Studies, which focuses on the application of environmental, social, and economic thinking to ongoing sustainability and environmental issues.
