Since 2022, Buffalo State University has the distiction of being a Tree Campus Higher Education institution. In March 2024, the Arbor Day Foundation awarded Buffalo State University the 2023 Tree Campus Higher Education designation. This shows that Buffalo State University is committeed to maintaining and the continuation of developing its urban forest.
