Astronomy Geology Club

The Astronomy and Geology Club is a club focused on 4 simple things: space, the Earth, fun people, and free food! We host many entertaining activities on campus and social events to all of the Buffalo State students! As an academic club we also love to help each other learn more about Geology, Astronomy, Geography, or any other scientific topic! Learning about the rocks beneath our feet and the grand Universe we reside in is what brings us together. You don't have to be in the Geoscience major to join either, we're open to all majors and minors!

Wilderness Adventures Club

Wilderness Adventure Club is one of the longest existing clubs at Buffalo State. We have been around since 1977. Our main purpose is to get out into the great outdoors and experience all it has to offer. If it happens outdoors, chances are we are into it!  Camping, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, skiing are among the things we are into. But just because you what you love on that list don't think we aren't into it. If you want to join a club that likes getting out there and enjoying nature, then we are the club for you!

The Black Liberation Front Board received funding from the United Student Government (formally known as the College Student Association) after a long-fought battle. The BLFB also played a key role on the established of the African-American Studies Department.

Late in September 1979, the BLFB changed their name to the AASO becoming the #1 organization on the campus of Buffalo State College.

Bengals Dare to Care Day

Dare to Care Day is a part of the Buffalo State tradition that past generations joyfully remember. It has always been a way to "Paint the town orange." as our Buffalo State president, Dr. Kathrine S. Conaway, said that morning. This particular Dare to Care Day was special to the president as she stated that this would be her last since she is retiring and focusing on playing with her grandchildren.

The social work department was proud to show up and be part of a positive change in the community. Working with the Business Association for the Black Rock Riverside Alliance, we picked up trash down Amherst St, Grant St, the bike path, and the river path. All the while we were being thanked by community members who truly appreciated what we were doing.

A special thanks to the Black Rock Riverside Alliance Business Association for allowing us to come into the community, learn their history, and showing us great places to dine, play and work out.
