Stony Brook University offers an updated Office of Sustainability website, which is updated on a monthly basis. Students, faculty and staff can visit the website to learn more about sustainable initiatives on campus. The website also features upcoming events related to sustainability and also allows students to interact and get involved with the Office of Sustainability.

Stony Brook has set up numerous signs on campus which highlight a wide range of different sustainable features in buildings. A few examples of these would be the new high efficiency hand dryers and the water bottle filling stations.

Stony Brook has signs which tells students about the various sustainable initiatives on campus. A few of these include: mulching wood debris to be reused in planted beds, growing our plants for these beds, and using a rainwater collection system in order to water plants in the greenhouse.

The Office of Sustainability meets with student beat reporters weekly during the fall and spring semesters and shares sustainability-related content with student reporters in such meetings.
