A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):

At the Office of Health and Wellness we offer information on how to live a healthy lifestyle and encourage making positive behavior choices. We believe in promoting the health and wellbeing of students through prevention of illness, injury and disease and through raising awareness of issues affecting the students mind, body and spirit.

Counseling Services is available to provide confidential, short-term personal counseling around a variety of topics. Students often pursue counseling during their time at Stonehill for support in areas such as adjustment, time management, grief and loss, decision-making, anxiety, low mood, and interpersonal relationships.

We are pleased to announce that Stonehill College has received the Jed Foundation Campus Seal of approval signifying that our campus is proactive in raising awareness and educating the community about mental health issues and suicide prevention.

The College makes available to all employees and family members an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The program is offered at no cost to employees and is completely confidential. If an employee needs additional counseling beyond the set number of free sessions, then the EAP works with the client to find a convenient counselor who is also covered under the College's health insurance plan. Information on this program is available in the HR office, is included in quarterly HR newsletters and on the HR webpage.
