Department chairpersons were contacted individually, and the list of faculty publications, presentations and performances that occurred during the test period were reviewed. Additionally, each of the faculty biographies in each department was reviewed.
A brief description of notable accomplishments during the previous three years by faculty and/or staff engaged in sustainability research:
Bronwyn Bleakley: In year one of an NSF Career Grant (5 years; total funding approximately $900,000). Professor Bleakley's lab offers numerous undergraduate student research projects in environmental toxicology and behavioral ecology. Examples include the effects of pesticides on burying beetles and the effects of pesticides on social behavior in guppies. Approximately 20 students are involved each year.
