The STARS Committee is institution-wide as one can see from the list provided above. Since the last report was submitted in 2020, the committee has been working toward the 2023 submission. This year’s STARS report will be much more thorough based on the heightened efforts of the committee. There have been multiple credits identified for which we should receive points after not pursuing those credits in 2020. The Energy Committee has been a key driver in the university’s push to purchase all electricity from a local renewable source. This goal was realized on October 1, 2021. The committee is currently exploring the conversion of gifted land to a solar farm. The committee is also pushing the Division of Finance to disinvest from all fossil fuel companies.
