The University currently assesses campus climate every four years through a campus climate survey conducted by a third party and an accompanying framework to address the key concerns highlighted in the survey results. The follow up framework is built with the input of community members in the form of categorized action steps that are monitored towards continual progress within a specific time frame.

In general, the most recent campus climate assessment highlighted the need for specific initiatives to make the university’s communication strategies more inclusive and transparent, facilitate support for the University’s diversity efforts throughout the local community, and to better promote and foster a University culture of respect and inclusiveness.
