Description: The Environmental Fellows work to develop a more cognizant and purposeful Stetson community focused on social, economic, and environmental practices. We foster a culture of environmentalism through education and direct involvement within our campus and the greater community.
Mission Statement: To maintain Stetson University as a leader in environmental stewardship through thoughtful communication and activities linking community and planet.
Activities:
1) Conducts an annual campus-wide greenhouse gas audit using SIMAP software
2) Manages and invests an annual Revolving Green Fund of $30,000 into energy
efficiency and renewable energy projects
3) Tracks return on investments made through the Revolving Green Fund using the
GRITS software
4) Creates educational events centered around the environment or sustainability for community events such as Values Day or Earth Day.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) comprises faculty, staff, and students
dedicated to improving the environmental sustainability of operations for all Stetson. This body is chaired by the Environmental Fellows with the Fellows setting the agenda, taking minutes, and facilitating meetings. The EWG meets at least twice per semester to foster communication across the many interested offices, disciplines, and programs.
Activities:
1) Approves how the Revolving Green Fund will be invested each semester
2) Reviews the annual greenhouse gas reports presented by the Environmental Fellows
3) Reviews the yearly campus-wide sustainability survey before sent out to the student body
4) Members support the Environmental Fellows by using the EWG as a space to bring forth ideas and collaborate
5) Initiates and tracks various ad hoc projects for sustainability awareness through media and education
