The total building energy consumption decreased due to energy efficiency upgrades implemented at Stetson University. Some of the energy efficiency upgrades installed between 2005 and 2011 include window film to reduce heat gained and energy lost, energy efficient lighting upgrades, management of temperature throughout the campus, and LED lighting in parking areas.
