Global Field Studies Programs: Since 1995,Sterling College has run short and semester-long field-based courses around the world in agriculture, food systems, ecology, environmental humanities, and outdoor education. A Sterling education is both local and global. Our sense of place is enriched by participation in our Global Field Studies experiences. Pre-pandemic programs have included:
Arctic Canada—Labrador landscapes and society
Bahamas—impacts of land use on coral reefs
Belize—rainforest ecosystems and tropical watersheds
