Performance Year | July 1, 2015 | June 30, 2016 |
Baseline Year | July 1, 2014 | June 30, 2015 |
A brief description of when and why the building energy consumption baseline was adopted (e.g. in sustainability plans and policies or in the context of other reporting obligations):
The baseline was the last complete set of data.
Gross floor area of building space:

Documentation (e.g. spreadsheet or utility records) to support the performance year energy consumption figures reported above:
A brief description of the institution's initiatives to shift individual attitudes and practices in regard to energy efficiency (e.g. outreach and education efforts):
Energy use reduction by residents of Hilltop Residence Hall is an ongoing outreach and education effort by the Office of Residence Life staff.
A brief description of energy use standards and controls employed by the institution (e.g. building temperature standards, occupancy and vacancy sensors):
We have an unwritten comfort implication on campus.
Apx. 68 Heating / 72 Cooling
A brief description of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting and other energy-efficient lighting strategies employed by the institution:
Parking lot lights, pathway lights, building overhead fixtures are being replaced at end of life with LEDs.
A brief description of passive solar heating, geothermal systems, and related strategies employed by the institution:
We have a passive evacuated tube solar thermal system on our Wildcat Field House athletic facility capable of delivering 85 MMBtu's annually to heat domestic water and reheat for the building.
A brief description of co-generation employed by the institution, e.g. combined heat and power (CHP):
We have a 10,000 watt grid tied solar panel system in the Wildcat Field House athletic facility.
A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace energy-consuming appliances, equipment and systems with high efficiency alternatives (e.g. building re-commissioning or retrofit programs):
We are actively involved in an ongoing commissioning & retro-commissioning process.
