A carbon inventory of 165 acres of forested land was conducted in fall 2017 by a team of student researchers in BIO 300 lab. A peer-reviewed publication was generated showing 300 MG (330 tons) of carbon dioxide sequestration per year (Bremer, Mark; Frisa, Emily; Maccarone, Rachelle; Seif, Daniel. Campus Forest Carbon Sequestration: An Undergraduate Project Experience. Journal of Sustainability Education Vol. 24, December 2020.)
