A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
A headcount was determined from the research reports currently available on the SUNY Poly website. Researchers in other colleges and departments that do not have a research report were excluded from the count. In consultation with the Sustainability Coordinator, an independent study student evaluated the published research programs to determine if they were engaged in sustainability research.
