Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
ESF has been tracking and mitigating the College's carbon footprint since 2007. The most recent GHG emissions inventory was completed in 2020 by consultant Ramboll as part of the Clean Energy Master Plan (CEMP) for the College. Energy data was sourced from utility bills and and a custom GHG calculator was created by Ramboll with the relevant emissions factors.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes
A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:
The GHG emissions inventory conducted as part of the ESF 2020 CEMP was verified by an internal team at Ramboll; a team of ESF staff members, faculty, and students, and externally by the CEMP project sponsor--New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Documentation to support the GHG inventory verification process:

A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:
545 MTCO2e under "Fuel- and energy-related activities not included in Scope 1 or Scope 2" represents transmission and distribution losses from Scope 2 purchased steam. A commuter survey of faculty and staff was conducted in 2021.
