The sustainability assessment was developed by the Sustainability Coordinator as part of Campus Sustainability Month in October. Questions were chosen to represent various topics regarding sustainability, both related directly to campus as well as sustainability as a whole. An email link to the survey was sent as a broadcast email to the entire campus community.

The sample was reached through a campus-wide email blast with a link to an online
survey. Those who participated received an email to also participate in a post- assessment after a month of informational events.


A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment, including a description of any measurable changes over time:

The assessment proved to have positive results. Students, faculty and staff learned more information after attending events, lectures and programs hosted by the Office of Sustainability.The results of the post-assessment showed that over 60% of participants improved their scores from the pre-assessment.
