A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
Only full-time faculty were accounted for when creating the sustainability research inventory. We looked at the Environmental Studies department and contributing faculty members from other departments. Using Google Scholar and other research search engines, we looked at each individual faculty member's webpage, CV and latest publications. "Sustainability" research was defined if the research incorporated 2 or more aspects of sustainability (environment, economics, social).
