A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
A Sustainable Transportation survey was designed by the Office of Sustainability and Institutional Research. We spent some time coming up with a variety of questions that were relevant to three goals: determining where to install more electric vehicle stations, calculating our SCOPE 3 emissions, and determining data for the OP-16 credit.
The survey was randomly sent to students, faculty, and staff on Oct. 6th 2023 and closed Nov. 1st, 2023. While the survey was online, each week, a reminder was sent out to those selected for the survey to complete. These reminders would result in a short spike in responses leading up to the close date.
