A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
This baseline was adopted as it is the first year a thorough and comprehensive GHG report was performed.
Part 1. Reduction in GHG emissions per person
Weighted campus users
Performance year | Baseline year
Number of students resident on-site | 3,379 | 4,176 |
Number of employees resident on-site | 22 | 21 |
Number of other individuals resident on-site | 0 | 0 |
Total full-time equivalent student enrollment | 6,326 | 7,705 |
Full-time equivalent of employees | 1,105 | 1,260 |
Full-time equivalent of students enrolled exclusively in distance education | 99 | 115 |
Weighted Campus Users | 6,349.25 | 7,686.75 |
Metrics used in scoring for Part 1
Performance year | Baseline year
Adjusted net Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions per weighted campus user | 2.95 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent | 3.50 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent |

A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives:
Implemented ground source geothermal system and solar photovoltaic cells in conjunction with the new (2012) Richard S. Shineman Center for Science, Engineering and Innovation, and the School of Education renovations
Installed additional insulation (2012) as part of the renovations to Sheldon Hall and Lee Hall. Facilities Services has installed Energy efficient (outdoor) led lights throughout the college for student safety
