A brief description of the socially responsible investment option for retirement plans:
Oswego State offers a number of retirement plans to its employees---one is a defined benefit plan (TRS, ERS) and the other is a defined contribution plan (TIAA-CREF). The former is administered by the Office of the State Comptroller and a board who oversees the state's portfolio. The latter program gives employee great flexibility as to where the employee wants their money invested.
