A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
In each residence hall an EcoRep is responsible for training and monitoring waste reduction activities in the building, engaging the residence in sustainability events, and updating residence on campus wide sustainability initiatives like Recycle-Mania, Move Out, and others. Students in the EcoRep program maintain the electronic recycling bins in the RA office, award a Recycling Champion to a recycling room several times per semester, and are responsible for creating other passive (bulletin boards, flyers) and active (recycled craft events, movie screenings) programs throughout the year.

A brief description of how the student educators are selected:
In each residence hall an EcoRep is selected, either from the RAs on staff in the building or from the residents. RAs have to select a "staff task" to be responsible for in their building and the EcoRep program is the sustainability staff task. RAs either select to be a part of the EcoRep program or an interested student within the building is nominated.

A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
The Sustainability Coordinator provides at least one training a semester to EcoReps on the campus recycling program, or relevant sustainability initiatives. EcoReps are responsible for
