NYS Executive Order 4 states: “In an effort to fully support New York State’s environmental goals, the NYS Office of General Services require that offerings for all categories of Desktop and Notebook class configurations, with the exception of Internet Notebooks, Thin Clients and All-In-One desktops, be registered EPEAT Gold and meet or exceed all of the following seven optional EPEAT criteria for standard configuration and standard option form factors. Offerings for the All-In-One desktops are required to be registered EPEAT Silver and meet or exceed all of the following seven optional EPEAT Criteria. Thin Clients and Internet Notebooks do not yet have industry standard EPEAT designation and are excluded from these EPEAT requirements.” The College purchases primarily Dell and Apple computers.
