SUNY New Paltz offers a week-long alternative spring break program organized by Service Learning Coordinator Erica Wagner of the Career Center during which students spend 7 days engaging in different community service related activities. These include sustainability projects such as working with Scenic Hudson (invasive plant species removal & biodiversity), Phillies Bridge Farm (sustainable agriculture), Habitat for Humanity (sustainable/affordable housing), Chiz's Heart Street and the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley (food justice), and Mohonk Preserve (land conservation).
