Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The campus has achieved exemplary performance for construction and demolition waste diversion on all completed LEED projects on campus through a partnership with Taylor Recycling in Montgomery, NY. The construction contractors for Crispell Hall, a LEED Gold project, diverted 98% of construction waste generated on-site from landfills. The design for Old Main, a LEED Silver project, reused 98% of the existing building envelope as well as interior structural wall, floor, and roof elements. The construction contractors for Old Main diverted 97% of construction waste generated on site from landfills. Records for non-LEED construction projects have not systematically tracked recycling and landfill rates, so New Paltz does not have complete data to pursue this credit.
