The State University of New York at New Paltz recognizes the impact that indoor air quality has in the workplace. In an effort to provide the campus community with the optimum level of indoor air quality, the Office of Environmental, Health, and Safety has developed an indoor air quality program available on the Safety Programs Website.

The program was written and implemented this fall, included are the new state guidelines for temperature with the energy savings mandates. The following unoccupied buildings are not included in the IAQ plan: - Pole Barn - Grounds Shop - Hazardous Waste Storage Building - Electric Substation - Grounds Storage - Central Heating Plant
