As a whole, SUNY Morrisville intends to utilize higher amounts of water pumped through the campus system, to reduce salt/particulate output from the campus owned and operated Waste Water Treatment Plant, especially as the campus increases enrollment, and thus the amount of Treated Waste Water increases.
A brief description of the institution's water recovery and reuse initiatives:
None.
A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives:
The SUNY Morrisville campus has moved forward with low-flow sink and showerhead adapters in nearly all campus locations (except in kitchens and other facility locations (ex: mop sinks) where this would not make sense).
We consider ourselves well aware of the EPA Watersense program and the benefits that adoption of these sustainable practices can provide.
